GENERAL
The term "Medontix" is short for "Medical Ontology." In essence, an ontology is set of domain-specific concepts which can be used to form meaningful relationships. Ontologies have been created for a variety of subfields within medicine, including genetics, pharmacology, billing, and laboratory results.

Although the use of ontologies has fallen out of favor over the last few decades, the spirit of organizing information into intuitive data structures has played an important role in emerging fields such as natural language processing. At Medontix, we rely upon core ontologic concepts to provide clinicians with structured data across vast clinical data repositories in order to streamline the process of trial enrollment.
TECHNOLOGY
All user data are secured with AES 256-bit encryption, which is the strongest and most robust encryption standard that is commercially available today. Multiple additional layers of data security are also implemented to further ensure data safety and fidelity.
We use deep learning approaches in both computer vision and natural language processing to extract and structure salient clinical data. To achieve results which perform well in the real-world, we have been carefully optimizing, and even building upon, state-of-the-art network architectures to handle complex medical data.
